Here’s an excerpt from the Author’s Preface:

“What I will share with you in this book is not new. Great spiritual traditions, religious teachers, philosophers and poets have said the same things in far more eloquent ways for millennia. What I can offer you is a simple, practical handbook of seven specific behaviors that will change your life. You don’t have to believe anything. Just follow the rules, use the tools and cultivate the practices, with an open mind and an open heart. Be curious, be diligent, and be willing to allow Joyful Living into your life.”  Read more…

And another excerpt (from Chapter Seven) with an invitation to share your stories as you ‘take it on the road.’

“Conducting experiments in love to change the world is a delicious practice that the world desperately needs from you.  All it requires is conscious effort to shift your thinking and to act intentionally with love.  You’ve been doing this with your own thoughts internally.  This final practice calls on you to use your knowledge to bring joy and creative responses to life’s circumstances involving others.

Living love is not just about being nice or thoughtful or kind or generous in the normal course of events.  Experiments in love are conscious actions to turn your own heart around when you are angry, hurt, frustrated, irritated, etc.  Experiments in love don’t require anyone else’s participation.  You are not trying to change anyone else.  You will change the world by bringing in more love.  Others will change as they are surrounded by more love….If you wish, share your experiences and the expansion of your Joyful Living on our website.”
